Hopkinton Ends Flock Safety Camera Contract After Legal Review

Hopkinton has ended its contract with license-plate reading camera vendor Flock Safety after a legal review turned up what town officials called statutory deficiencies in the agreement, according to a report from mlq.ai that counted Hopkinton among more than 90 jurisdictions nationwide cutting ties with the company this month.

The Hopkinton Public Library has set a virtual talk, "The Democracy We Must Keep: Why the Ideas that Built America Still Matter," for Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 2 to 3 p.m. The library's Scrabble and Mahjong groups, which normally meet that same evening, have been canceled for Sept. 1.
