Hopkinton Library Launches Busy Summer Week With Programs for All Ages

The Hopkinton Public Library is running a packed summer schedule this week, with children's, teen, and adult programs lined up through the end of June and into July, making it the most active source of community news in town today.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The library is midway through its 2026 summer reading season and has events for every age group in the coming days. Babytime and Little Explorers, both held in the Children's Programming Room, return Thursday, June 26 — Babytime runs 9:15 to 10 a.m. and Little Explorers follows at 10:30 a.m. On Friday, June 27, the library offers Drop-in Family Activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a low-barrier option for families looking for something to do during the school break.

Teens get their own moment on Sunday, June 29, with a YA CreatorSpace Crafternoon in the library's CreatorSpace classroom from 3 to 5 p.m. The week closes out Monday, June 30, with two evening events running simultaneously: Magic: the Gathering Club in the Children's Programming Room (5 to 7 p.m.) and the Board of Library Trustees meeting in the Ellsworth Conference Room (6 to 8 p.m.).

The library's Main Street entrance remains closed; visitors should use the Church Street entrance. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Sundays through Labor Day.

On the reading side, the library's June guest librarians are Ian Richardson, administrative assistant for the Town Clerk's office and Human Resources, and his fiancé Ashleigh — the pair curated a horror reading list available through the library's website. Library Director Nanci Hill is accepting volunteers for future guest librarian spots.
