Hopkinton Library Lines Up Drop-In Family Events, Trustee Meeting for Late June
With no new town hall announcements or school district news in the past 48 hours, Hopkinton heads into the weekend on an even keel — though the public library has a full slate of drop-in and evening programming lined up starting Friday.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Hopkinton Public Library is the place to be this weekend and into next week. On Friday, June 27, the Children's Programming Room is open for drop-in family activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — no registration required, just stop in.
Teens get their turn on Sunday, June 29, when the YA CreatorSpace Crafternoon runs from 3 to 5 p.m. in the CreatorSpace classroom. Monday, June 30, brings a double-header: Magic: the Gathering Club meets in the Children's Programming Room from 5 to 7 p.m., and the Board of Library Trustees holds its regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the Ellsworth Conference Room.
The library is also highlighting a fresh set of June reading picks curated by guest librarians Ian Richardson, Administrative Assistant in the Town Clerk's and Human Resources offices, and his fiancé Ashleigh. The pair lean toward horror and psychological fiction — their list is available on the library's website. Library Director Nanci Hill is accepting volunteers for the guest librarian program; interested residents can reach her at nhill@hopkintonma.gov.
Reminder: the library is on summer hours through Labor Day — closed Sundays, open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
