Hopkinton marks July 4 with full municipal closure; library out through Sunday

Saturday, July 4 — The Hopkinton Public Library is closed today in observance of Independence Day, extending a long-weekend closure that began Thursday, July 2. The library will also remain closed Sunday, July 5, consistent with its summer policy of no Sunday hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Regular hours — Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. — resume Monday, July 6.

Saturday, July 4 — Town Hall and all municipal offices, including the Senior Center, are closed today for the holiday. Curbside trash pickup is running on its normal schedule with no delay.

Monday, July 6, 3:00 p.m. — The library's YA CreatorSpace Crafternoon returns to the CreatorSpace classroom from 3 to 5 p.m., the first teen program back after the holiday break.

Monday, July 6, 5:30 p.m. — Drop-In CreatorSpace Hours run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the library's CreatorSpace classroom, open to all.

Tuesday, July 7, 10:00 a.m. — Baby & Toddler Storytime is scheduled in the Children's Programming Room from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Tuesday, July 7, 4:00 p.m. — Chess Club meets in the Children's Programming Room from 4 to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, July 7, 5:30 p.m. — Drop-In CreatorSpace Hours run again from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, July 7, 6:00 p.m. — The Scrabble Group and Mahjong Group meet together in the Betty Strong Room from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
