Hopkinton Sets Household Hazardous Waste Day for July 25

HOPKINTON — Hopkinton will hold its Household Hazardous Waste Day collection event on Saturday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the town announced this week, giving residents a chance to dispose of hazardous materials outside the regular trash and recycling pickup.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Hopkinton Public Library's Main Street entrance remains closed while crews continue work on the Main Street Corridor Project, with the closure scheduled to run through Saturday, July 25. The library has asked patrons to use the Church Street entrance in the meantime and says the town's project website will carry the latest updates on the corridor work.

The library has a full slate of programming this week. On Wednesday, July 22, it hosts Preschool Storytellers at 10 a.m., Kids Crafternoon at 3:30 p.m., a Young Adult Dungeons & Dragons session at 5:30 p.m., and Read to a Therapy Dog at 7 p.m. On Thursday, July 23, Drop-In CreatorSpace Hours run from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by Lego & Pokémon Club at 4 p.m. The library's Main Street entrance is set to reopen Saturday, July 25, the same day the town holds its Household Hazardous Waste Day collection from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
