Library Closes Main Street Entrance for Corridor Project Construction

HOPKINTON — The Hopkinton Public Library's Main Street entrance will shut down from Wednesday, July 15, through Saturday, July 25, as crews continue work on the town's Main Street Corridor Project, with visitors directed to use the Church Street entrance instead.

The Hopkinton Public Library announced this week that its Main Street entrance will be unavailable for ten days, July 15 through July 25, because of ongoing construction tied to the town's Main Street Corridor Project. Library staff asked patrons to enter and exit through the Church Street entrance during that stretch and apologized for the inconvenience. Residents can find ongoing updates on the corridor project through the town's dedicated project website.

COMING UP

The library has several programs on its calendar for the coming week. Babytime meets Friday, July 17, from 9:15 to 10 a.m. in the Children's Programming Room, followed that morning by Little Explorers from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. On Saturday, July 18, the library hosts Drop-in Family Activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Children's Programming Room, and a Coffee House performance, "Songs of Tradition, Sung Anew," runs from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Betty Strong Room. The following Monday, July 20, brings a YA CreatorSpace Crafternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. and a "250th: DIY Declarations" program from 4 to 5:30 p.m., both in library meeting spaces.
