Library Hosts Special Detective Pikachu Pokémon Club Event Thursday

The Hopkinton Public Library rolls out a full week of family programming beginning Thursday, headlined by a special Detective Pikachu-themed session of its Pokémon Club, as the library's summer slate winds toward its close.

The library's Pokémon Club gets a special edition Thursday, August 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Betty Strong Room, built around the "Detective Pikachu" game and characters. The session follows the library's regular Drop-In CreatorSpace Hours that same afternoon, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the CreatorSpace classroom, giving families a full afternoon of hands-on activities under one roof.

Main Street entrance work at the library continues, a story the town's construction updates have covered previously; visitors are still directed to use the Church Street entrance while the Main Street Corridor Project is underway.

The library has several children's programs on tap in the coming days: Babytime runs Friday, August 7, from 9:15 to 10 a.m., followed by Little Explorers from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., both in the Children's Programming Room. Drop-in Family Activities follow Saturday, August 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Children's Department. Summer reading participants can begin redeeming tickets for book prizes starting Monday, August 10, continuing the program's run toward its August close.
