Library to Close Main Street Entrance for 10 Days Starting Wednesday

HOPKINTON — The Hopkinton Public Library will shut its Main Street entrance for 10 days starting Wednesday, rerouting patrons to the Church Street doors while crews continue work on the town's Main Street Corridor Project.

TOWN HALL The library's Main Street entrance will be unavailable from Wednesday, July 15, through Saturday, July 25, because of ongoing construction tied to the town's Main Street Corridor Project. Library staff are directing visitors to use the Church Street entrance for the duration and pointed residents to the town's project website for further updates on the corridor work.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The library's Betty Strong Room hosts a Coffee House concert, "Songs of Tradition, Sung Anew," on Saturday, July 18, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The library also continues its run of summer hours through Labor Day, staying open until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closing on Sundays for the season.

COMING UP Children's programming continues Friday, July 17, with Babytime at 9:15 a.m. and Little Explorers at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Drop-in Family Activities session Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Monday, July 20, teens can join a YA CreatorSpace Crafternoon from 3 to 5 p.m., and the library runs its "250th: DIY Declarations" program, tied to the nation's semiquincentennial, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
