Main Street Detour Begins Today, Runs Through August 21
HOPKINTON — Eastbound traffic on Main Street will be detoured for two weeks starting today as work continues on the town's Main Street Corridor Project, with the Hopkinton Public Library urging visitors to allow extra travel time to reach the building.
TOWN HALL
From August 7 through August 21, eastbound Main Street traffic will be detoured daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the ongoing Main Street Corridor Project. The town's project website has additional details for drivers planning routes through the area during the detour period.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Main Street entrance to the Hopkinton Public Library remains closed for the duration of construction, and library officials say the new detour adds to travel time for anyone heading to the building. Visitors are asked to use the Church Street entrance and the library's parking lot, which remains open, until construction wraps up. The library's regular hours continue: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Sundays at least through the fall.
