HOPKINTON — The Hopkinton Trails Committee approved $72,660.89 in payment requests for trail construction and signed off on $3,266.49 in previously unpaid August invoices. Chair Peter Lagoy ran down five payment requests, including $57,950 to Adam West Landscape for shared-use-path work and $9,634 for a bridge connecting Loop Road to Chamberlain Street. Member Linda Chuss presented a six-priority strategic plan for the next ten months covering trail connections, signage, landowner agreements, stewardship, outreach and the master plan; members Scott Knous and Kristen Turpin volunteered to lead the access-and-signage priority.
The committee also voted to add a second dog-waste station along the Chamberlain-side shared-use path and reviewed black-and-white e-bike signage designs, which Chuss said still need a Select Board public hearing. Members reported Legacy North's trail network has grown from 2.1 to roughly 2.5 miles.
