Trails Committee · Meeting of October 22, 2026

Hopkinton's Trails Committee voted to make the Hughes Trail its model for a new signage system and approved $8,575 in Community Preservation Act funds for storm repairs. Chair Peter Lagoy presided; Sean Kimball was absent. Member Linda Chuss said a trail video she posted drew "27,000 views, which is insane." Members also approved $150 to PoopAway for dog-waste service and a $26.72 reimbursement to Chuss for printed maps.

Jane Moran challenged colleagues over outreach to a Legacy Farm landowner known only as Roy, saying "the committee never took a vote" to let developer Chuck Joseph, who is not a member, serve as a go-between, prompting members to pause further contact. Residents were told trail access near the Center School demolition site closes November 15.
