Conservation · Meeting of October 21, 2026

Hopkinton's Conservation Commission weighed a plan to restore wetlands illegally filled at a Montana Road horse farm. Scott Goddard of Goddard Consulting told the board test pits and auger borings found roughly 2,500 square feet of bordering vegetated wetland and 6,500 square feet of wetland buried under fill, and proposed restoring most of it in place while relocating up to 5,000 square feet to a new 7,600-square-foot replication area, saying the goal was "no net loss of wetlands on the site." No vote was taken; the board scheduled a site walk and continued the hearing to November 3. Separately, the commission approved a septic replacement at 34 Cedar Street Extension 5-0 and closed out a 1990 driveway permit at 6 Ledgestone Drive 4-0.

On a Sandy Beach parking lot redesign, town representative Carrie Reid said "the asphalt prices have gone up significantly," warning the town may need additional funding before construction.
