Hopkinton Renews Call for Resident Input on Next Police Chief
HOPKINTON — Hopkinton is once again asking residents and business owners to weigh in on the search for the town's next police chief, according to a News Flash posted to the town website Friday, Aug. 14. The update landed a day after the Town Manager's office published its regular Aug. 13 weekly briefing.
TOWN HALL The renewed call restates the town's ongoing recruitment process for a new police chief, a search Hopkinton first opened to public comment earlier this summer. Officials are asking residents and business owners to share their perspectives as the search moves forward, though the Aug. 14 posting does not lay out a new deadline or next step beyond continued input.
The Town Manager's office also posted its regular weekly update Aug. 13, part of a running series of briefings the office publishes on hopkintonma.gov to keep residents current on municipal business.
COMING UP The Hopkinton Public Library has a full slate of programming over the next week. Drop-in Family Activities run Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Children's Department.
